Great for those with allergy concerns, it’s simple, easy to prepare and a perfect accompaniment to the typical barbecue fare that most can enjoy without concerns of “what’s in this??”.

I’ll tell you what’s in it!

1 small head of red cabbage (1.5 pounds), shredded or julienned
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced or julienned
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
1 1⁄2 limes, freshly juiced
1 Tb fire oil (you can also use regular olive oil and red pepper flakes)
1 tsp cumin
salt and pepper to taste

Prepare vegetables as indicated and toss in salad bowl.

In a small container, combine lime juice, oil, cumin, salt and pepper.

Shake vigorously until well combined.

Pour over slaw and toss. Serve!
